To capture her magnificent award-winning photo, she had to have gone out one morning with all the correct gear. She had no power over the deer in the glade that lifted its head at the right time and at the perfect angle, nor over the sun that lit up the mist in the air at precisely that moment. But if her intention hadn't been there, she would not have been prepared and the moment would have passed unrecorded, a splendid picture would not have been created and the photographer's life trajectory would not have been altered for the better.
